Our Student Nutrition Staff ROCKS, and
Our Transportation Staff and Servers ROLL!
Back to School Model
Yes, the PED has recommended a “hybrid model” across the state. A hybrid model is some in school and some home learning for all students. In Estancia, because of our small class size, we are hoping to offer daily instruction with social distancing for our PreK-6 students. Unfortunately, our class size does not allow for that at the secondary level. We are creating a 7th – 12th grade hybrid model that will have students divided into two groups (A Day and B Day). A Day will come on Tuesday and Thursday; B Day will come on Wednesday and Friday. Monday we will have “some” students at the secondary level participating in special ed programs, credit recovery programs, intervention programs, and social emotional learning programs either in person (at school) or remotely (Zoom or another virtual setting). I very much need to hear your questions, concerns, thoughts, and recommendations, so please reach out to me or one of the principals so your voice is heard!!!! I can be reached at email@example.com
These are challenging times! There are several things to consider: cleaning, child care, transportation, social distancing requirements, etc. etc. etc. It is our goal to provide the safest, best academic and social emotional programs we possibly can for your children.
Right now, you may not wish your child to return to school. If that is the case,
The district is offering a K-12 Online Learning Academy.
This virtual program is standards aligned, includes teacher support by an Estancia Schools teacher, and will provide for a smooth re-entry into our school setting at semester! You may register by completing the online survey.
In accordance with 34 CFR 300.624 and NMAC 184.108.40.206, Estancia Municipal School District is planning a Special Education records purge for all students receiving special education services who graduated or left the district on or before the year of 2014. These records are no longer needed by the District to provide special education services, but may be needed by former students for social security benefits or other purposes. If you were a special education student or a guardian, and are interested in obtaining these records please call (505) 384-2001, x2601 to pick up your records. Records will be purged 30 days from the date of this notice.
